Rowland R. Hoskins

I retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Major in July 1976 and began farming. The initial farming operation was strictly cash grain.

My wife and I have four children and seven grandchildren.

The initial farming operation was strictly cash grain. I later added a cow-calf operation, which was liquidated in 1981 due to the death of a partner.

In 1984, we started a farrow-to-finish hog operation and chose to liquidate the operation in late 1998. I have a grain operation at this time.

I started working for UMS in April 1998. It has been an enlightening, as well as a rewarding experience. I look forward to helping other producers successfully market their production.
